Terms of Use

goscv.com ("GoSCV" or the "site") is operated by Axivus Labs ("we," "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What GoSCV is

GoSCV is a local guide and directory for the Santa Clarita Valley. We are not affiliated with the businesses we list unless we say so, and a listing is not an endorsement. Claiming a listing is free.

2. Listings, ratings, and scores

Listing details come from public sources, business owners, Google Maps, and our editors, and can be wrong or out of date. Confirm hours, prices, and other details with the business before you rely on them. Ratings from other websites belong to those websites and are shown as of the date we collected them. Our scores, rankings, and picks are our opinion. Some listing descriptions are written with the help of AI tools and may contain errors. We may add, edit, or remove listings at any time. Business owners can request corrections through our contact page.

3. Editorial content and ads

Guides, reviews, and picks are the opinions of GoSCV's editors. We do not accept payment for placement in guides, reviews, or picks. If that changes, paid placements will be labeled "Sponsored." Ads are provided by Google and its partners, and an ad is not a recommendation from us.

4. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use GoSCV or create an account. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

5. Content you submit

"Your content" means suggestions, listing and event submissions, and messages you send us, plus any reviews or ratings you post if we add that feature.

  • You keep ownership of your content. You give Axivus Labs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, display, format, shorten, and distribute it on GoSCV and in promoting GoSCV. The license ends when your content is removed from the site, except for backup copies kept for a limited time.
  • You confirm that your content is yours to share, is accurate, and does not break any law or anyone's rights.
  • Any review must describe your own experience. Do not review a business you own, work for, or compete with, and do not post a review you were paid or rewarded for.
  • We may decline, shorten, reformat, or remove your content, and we are not required to keep or display it.

6. Content rules and moderation

Do not post content that is false or misleading; defamatory, harassing, threatening, or hateful; sexually explicit; someone else's personal information; infringing; spam or advertising; or unrelated to the business. We review user content before it appears on the site, and we apply these rules the same way to positive and negative content.

7. Copyright complaints and repeat infringers

If you believe something on GoSCV infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with: your name and contact details; the work you believe was infringed; the web address of the material; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; a statement that your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you own the copyright or may act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We will remove or disable the material promptly and tell the person who posted it, who may send us a counter-notice. We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe.

8. Using our content

You may read, link to, and print GoSCV content for your own use, and quote short excerpts with credit to GoSCV and a link. You may not copy listings or other content in bulk, republish, sell, or repackage it, or use it to train AI models, without our written permission. The GoSCV name and logo belong to Axivus Labs.

9. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • try to access admin areas or test, probe, or break the site's security;
  • scrape the site or send automated requests;
  • submit false information or someone else's email address without their permission;
  • click ads deliberately or ask others to; or
  • interfere with the site, its ads, its analytics, or other people's use of it.

10. Google Maps

GoSCV includes Google Maps features and content. Your use of them is subject to the then-current Google Maps Additional Terms of Service (https://maps.google.com/help/terms_maps/) and Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

11. Links to other sites

Links to business websites and other sites, including other Axivus Labs sites, are governed by those sites' own terms and policies.

12. Disclaimer

TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE GOODS OR SERVICES OF ANY BUSINESS LISTED ON THE SITE.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, AXIVUS LABS IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR CONTENT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SITE IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

14. Responsibility for your content

To the extent the law allows, if your content or your use of the site breaks these terms or the law, you will cover the reasonable costs, including legal fees, of any third-party claim against Axivus Labs that results.

15. Governing law and disputes

California law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you and we consent to those courts. Either of us may bring a claim that qualifies in small claims court. Nothing in these terms removes consumer protections that apply where you live.

16. Changes and ending access

We may update these terms by posting a new version with a new effective date; material changes will also get a site notice for 30 days and an email to account holders. We may change, pause, or stop the site or any feature, and may block access for anyone who violates these terms.
